Why I needed advice

I’d previously had a financial adviser for many years, but our relationship was based on putting ISAs in place, charging fees for things I didn’t understand and talking through complicated graphs! I really didn’t understand what I had and why. After too many years of “going through the motions,” I wanted to get a second opinion.

From this, he put together a plan that showed me I could spend more on the things that me and my wife really enjoyed. I can honestly say it felt like I had started my retirement all over again.

How things look today

My investments are now simpler, have lower fees and, most importantly, have more meaning. I approach them very differently than before – they enable me, my wife and the children to do more of the things that are important to us.
